General Philosophy of the Code of Conduct

Discipline is an important part of the Islamic way of life. Muslims demonstrate their best behavior at all times. The purpose of discipline is to motivate students to acquire skills and habits that assist them to become well-adjusted and successful individuals.

High school students are expected to behave as adult. They shall observe and respect all the rules and the regulation of the school. If they make mistakes they are expected to correct their behavior as soon as they realize the mistake. They are also expected to bear consequences for the breaking the rules. Every human will make a mistake sometimes. However, Muslim are expected to recognize their mistake, correct them as soon as they discover the mistake and bear the consequences.

The goal of the system of discipline is to provide a clear understanding of the consequences for some infractions made by students. However, Muslims have the fear of Allah at all time and everywhere.

Please notice that not all “halal” behavior is allowed in the school. For example eating is halal, but it is prohibited in the classroom according to the school rules. The students may not use the argument that a particular behavior is “halal” and thus they may do it. Any violation of the rules and the regulation will be followed by a consequence. The student shall fully respect the rules and the regulation without any argument.
